PaperCut Print Balance

Summary

Knowledge about student printing fees, adding funds to printing funds balance and reviewing charges using PaperCut application.

Body

Summary

Students begin each school quarter with a $15 printing credit. This credit is in force for the duration of the quarter, which means that any money left over from the quarter will not carry over into the next quarter, nor is it refundable. This applies both to the original $15 credit and any funds you might subsequently add to the balance. If needed, students can check the printing balance and add funds.

Add funds to your PaperCut account

  1. Go to the Student Business Center in Room C106. The Student Business Center accepts credit/debit card payments to add funds to your available printing balance.

Important Reminders:

  • For students anticipating the need to add funds to their PaperCut printing balances (Interior Design and Engineering students, in particular), it’s important to plan ahead
  • Estimate the additional funds you will need and add them in advance of the time you will need them (finals, for instance) so you don’t find yourself unable to print
  • When adding funds to your printing balance, keep in mind that these funds won’t roll over at the end of the quarter, and you won’t be able to get a refund. Add only the funds you need.

Frequently Asked Questions:

My printout jammed. Can I get a refund?

Yes. If your printout jammed (or misprinted due to problems with the printer), immediately notify a computer Lab Assistant, who can assist you with fixing the problem and crediting your account.

I deposited $20 for print credits, but I will only need to use $10. Can I get a refund on the unused credit?

No. Print credits have no cash value, and we do not have the ability to provide refunds. Deposit only what you have calculated you will need during the quarter.

I did not use any of my free print credits for Winter quarter. Can I get those credits moved over to the next quarter?

No. Print credits are not transferable.

I am a BC student and an EWU student. Do I get double print credits?

Yes. If you pay a technology fee for both campuses, you are entitled to receive additional print credits. You will need to identify yourself to a Lab Assistant in room N250 to receive your additional print credits.

Can I pay for additional print credits online?

No. Be sure to plan ahead for any printing needs you might have that will exceed your $15 quarterly allowance. You can use a credit/debit card to pay for additional credits by visiting the Student Business Center in Room C106 during regular Student Business Center hours.  If you are printing after open business hours you will not be able to add to your printing fund during closed business hours.
