How To: Locate Windows Version Information
- On your keyboard, press the Windows Key + r to open the "Run" dialogue box.
- Type winver in the field, then press Enter.
- The "About Windows" dialogue box will appear. Please take note of the Windows Operating System displayed (E.g. Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10).
*Microsoft support for Windows 7 ends early 2020. If you happen to be using a computer with Windows 7, Technology Support Services will be working to upgrade the computer to Windows 10.
