Step by step instructions on properly managing the site navigation located in the left section of site collections and nested subsites

How To: Adjust Left Navigation on Subsite and Site Collections

Important Note: Before proceeding, make sure you do not edit anything in the Global Navigation settings. This will break your site!

1. Navigate to the home page of your site or site collection, click the Gear icon in upper right corner, then click Site settings
2. Within the Site Settings page, click Navigation located under the Look and Feel section
3. Scroll down to Structural Navigation: Editing and Sorting section
4. Select the item you would like to edit in the Current Navigation section
5. You have the option to Move the item Up or Down, Edit, or Delete the selected item
6. If you have made edits to the item, click OK.

Add a New Heading

1. To add a new heading or link, first select the Current Navigation node
2. Click on Add Heading to add a new Heading item or click on Add Link to add a new link
3. You can them move the newly created item by selecting the item and clicking Move Up or Move Down
4. Once done making changes, click OK
