Keychain Access on a Mac

Summary

Keychain Access is an application on the Mac operating system that allows the user to access and store keychain passwords. The Mac operating system requires users to create a keychain logon password after they log on to a Mac computer on a network. 

How To: Change the keychain password

If a users keychain password has expired (expires when the user changes their Bellevue College NetID password), the user will be presented with options after logging on to the Mac.

The options  are CancelCreate New Keychain or Update.

  1. Choose Create New Keychain and enter current Bellevue College NetID password in the field

Note: This new keychain password will stay current for a maximum of 120 days or until the user changes their NetID password.
