Summary

As the college continues to transition from on-campus to online courses, we wanted to remind you (and introduce you) to some of the resources that are available to you as a member of the Bellevue College community. The tools and resources listed below are intended to help you stay connected to students and colleagues. If you are looking for additional information from the college in relation to COVID-19, please visit the Public Safety page.

Adobe CC

  • Audience: Students, Faculty, Staff
  • Description: As an employee, use your Bellevue College credentials to sign into Adobe CC. If you are using a personal device, you will have the option of downloading Adobe products. Students who are interested can view information on Adobe for Students.

Canvas

  • Audience: Students, Faculty, Staff
  • Description: The Learning Management System (LMS) for Bellevue College. Used for delivering courses/course materials online.

Linkedin Learning

  • Audience: Students, Faculty, Staff
  • Description: Linkedin Learning is a great resource for educational content using video tutorials.

Microsoft Teams

  • Audience: Students, Faculty, Staff
  • Description: Helps you stay connected with your colleagues and classmates at-a-distance. This incorporates chat, video, file sharing, and screen sharing into one convenient location.

Microsoft Office

  • Audience: Students, Faculty, Staff
  • Description: You can download Microsoft Office on your personal device. You have 5 licenses for the Microsoft Office Suite which means you can install MS Office on 5 machines.

Microsoft Imagine

  • Audience: Students
  • Description: If you are registered in an iBIT course, you have access to Microsoft Imagine. You can purchase Microsoft products at a discounted rate for personal devices. For more information or to verify if you are registered for an iBIT course, please contact iBIT.

Microsoft Lens

  • Audience: Students, Faculty, Staff
  • Description: Office Lens is a great way to capture notes and info from whiteboards, menus, signs, handwritten memos, or anything with a lot of text.

Remote Desktop

  • Audience: Faculty, Staff
  • Description: If you have a designed desktop on-campus, you can request that you have access to remote-in. This will allow you to access the files and software that you need while you are off site.

Support from IT

  • Audience: Students, Faculty, Staff
  • Description: The ITS Service Desk will be temporarily transitioning to online support. We are available by phone, e-mail, chat and TDX requests. Physical visits will be by appointment only. No drop-in support without an appointment will be available until further notice. For current hours of support, please visit our support portal.

VPN (Virtual Private Network)

  • Audience: Faculty, Staff
  • Description: If you need to setup a more secure way to access your information for work, you can setup a VPN. Mac users can also setup a VPN.

Xfinity

  • Audience: Student, Faculty, Staff
  • Description: Due to the changes occurring, Xfinity is offering additional services at a low to no-cost.

Zoom

  • Audience: Faculty, Staff
  • Description: Faculty can use this for lecture capture in lieu of meeting in-person.
