Summary
Bellevue College recently completed a successful trial of Microsoft Copilot. With the trial now concluded, Information Technology Services (ITS) has transitioned Copilot to a fully supported, paid licensing model.
License Details
Each Microsoft Copilot license is valid for one year from the activation date. The license fee is charged at the time of activation. Licenses are non-refundable; however, they can be reassigned to another user within the same department if necessary.
Renewals and Cancellations
Licenses automatically renew each year unless ITS receives a request to cancel or reassign them. ITS reviews license usage annually and provides departments with an opportunity to make adjustments before the start of the new fiscal year. If a department no longer wishes to maintain a license, it must submit a cancellation request through the TDX ticketing system before the renewal period begins.
Intended Users
Microsoft Copilot is intended for staff who regularly use Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. It is designed to assist with tasks involving data analysis, content creation, communication, and administrative coordination. Copilot offers AI-powered support to help streamline these activities and improve productivity.
Support and Requests
If you have questions about Copilot licensing, need to request a license transfer, or want to explore whether the tool is a good fit for your role, please submit a ticket through the ITS Service Desk TDX portal and select the appropriate category.
