How to: Create a Voicemail using Microsoft Teams Desktop App for Windows and Mac

Note: These instructions require you to have the Microsoft Teams Desktop App installed on your computer. You can either install Microsoft Teams through Office 365 or you can submit a ticket to the Service Desk for assistance installing Microsoft Teams.

Please follow the steps below to create a voicemail using the Microsoft Teams Desktop App:

  1. Open the Microsoft Teams Desktop App and Sign in to Teams using your BC NetID credentials.
  2. Click your Profile icon in the upper right of the Teams App.
  3. In the Menu that appears click on Settings.
  4. On the left side of the Settings menu click on the Calls tab.
  5. On the calls tab under Voicemail click the Configure Voicemail button.
  6. In the Configure Voicemail windowclick the Record a Greeting button.
  7. You will be directed back to the Teams App and it will call the automated Teams Voicemail setup line.
  8. Follow the instructions that the setup line provides for recording a new Voicemail greeting.
