Instructions for employees to save their bookmarks (favorites).

How To: Backup (Export) Bookmarks in Google Chrome

1. Click on and open Google Chrome
2. At the top right, click More 
3. Select Bookmarks, then select Bookmark Manager
4. At the upper right, click Organize 
5. Click Export Bookmarks
6. Choose a Location and File name
7. Save as type: HTML Document
8. Click Save to save your bookmarks as an HTML Document
9. Backup the HTML Document to OneDrive for Business using the steps above

• The Desktop or Documents locations are a good place to save your bookmarks.

How To: Restore (Import) Bookmarks in Google Chrome

1. Click on and open Google Chrome
2. At the top right, click More 
3. Select Bookmarks, then select Bookmark Manager
4. At the upper right, click Organize 
5. Click Import Bookmarks
6. Select your HTML Document, click Open

How To: Backup (Export) Bookmarks in Edge/Internet Explorer 11

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Select the Star Icon in the upper right corner
3. Click the Down Arrow next to Favorites
4. Select Import and Export
5. Select Export to a file then click Next
6. Select Favorites from the list and click Next, click Next again
7. Browse to where you want to save the exported Favorites file
8. Click Export and then click Finish

How To: Restore (Import) Bookmarks in Edge/Internet Explorer 11

To import your Favorites file, follow the same instructions for exporting up until Step 5. Instead, do the following:

1. Select Import from a file then click​ Next
2. Select Favorites​​​​​​ to import then click Next
3. Browse to find the file (Where you saved it in step 7 in Exporting Bookmarks)
4. Click Next and then click Import
5. Click Finish
