Sometimes you might see an error message in Canvas, it is always a good idea to notify your instructor that you have run into an issue. You may not be the only student in the class seeing the error message. Either your username or password were incorrect.

  • This typically means that your password has expired, it expires every 120 days. We suggest resetting your password at the beginning of every quarter to avoid running into this error when you are trying to access class materials.

  • If you have already changed your password and you are still unable to login try using a different browser, see Canvas’ Browser Requirements.

  • You may need to clear your cache, you may have an old password stored. See How to Clear Cache on a Mac, or How to Clear Cache on a PC.

You are trying to launch insecure content from within a secure site (canvas). Some internet browsers may prevent this content from loading.

  • Usually this means that the link is not loading within Canvas, but you should still be able to open the link in a new window. You have two options for opening in a new window.
    • Click on the title of the page (the text will be in white font with a grey background).
    • Click on the black arrow next to the title.

You have successfully logged out.

  • This message will appear if you created your NetID within the last 24 hours. NetID is short for "Network Identification" and is the first part of your Bellevue email address. Your Browser is not compatible

  • Canvas is typically compatible with the most current versions of browsers. It is important that you check to make sure both your browser and the version are listed on the Browser Requirements page.
