View Recent Account Activity

It is important to review recent activity on your Microsoft account to ensure there have not been any suspicious activity. Malicious actors often send users emails pretending to be Microsoft (phishing email) wanting to let you know of suspicious log in activity on your account. The phishing email will contain a link or button to a malicious/fake Microsoft website where you could 'see' the activity. The intent is to get users to log in with their credentials, so they can steal them.

It is best not to click on emails within emails, especially if you were expecting it.

There is one secure way to Review recent activity on your Microsoft account:

  1. If you are logged to Outlook on your web browser or any of the M365 applications, you can click on your profile picture or initials on the top right hand side, then select View Account

Profile options, shows User name, email, View Account & My Microsoft M365 profile

  1. --- OR --- Go to the Microsoft account page and sign in with your credentials
  2. If you see the older version of the My Account page,
    1. In the My Sign-ins section, click on Review Recent Activity
