How To: Locate Windows Version Information

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows Key + r to open the "Run" dialogue box.
  2. Type winver in the field, then press Enter.
  3. The "About Windows" dialogue box will appear. Please take note of the Windows Operating System displayed (E.g. Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10).

*Microsoft support for Windows 7 ends early 2020. If you happen to be using a computer with Windows 7, Technology Support Services will be working to upgrade the computer to Windows 10.
