Summary

Features inside Canvas are managed directly by your instructor, so it is always a good idea to let them know that you have run into an issue. This ensures your instructor knows you’re having problems and cannot access the materials. It is also possible your instructor has chosen to disable a feature or has not opened up access to a specific feature inside the site. If you need help with Canvas, there are a few options available.

Contact your instructor

Usually instructors provide contact information in their syllabus or directly on their Canvas site; however if you do not have this information, you may look it up online using our Employee DirectoryAlways contact your instructor when you encounter issues in Canvas, it is possible that you are not the only student in the course encountering this issue.

Contact the Technology Service Desk

If you’re having problems logging in to Canvas, seeing your course listed or with other technical issues, contact the Technology Service Desk. You’re actually on the Service Desk site right now.
